Birthday Bash With BBVD

I am not a Lindy Hopper, but I think swing music, big band music, and almost all music has something to teach us about who we are and where we came from.

What makes Big Bad Voodoo Daddy great, beside being from Ventura California, is that they have taken this great American music, and made it just enough modern, and just enough past, to really explain both. If you see these guys and don't feel like dancing, you may want to check your pulse, as you may have expired.

These guys, could live anywhere, but Scotty Morris, and others, continue to live in Ventura, California, and they played in Mission Park on Saturday, to celebrate the 150th Birthday of Ventura. They played, and from what I hear, people had a great time. But to me the most important thing about BBVD is this:

They are from my hometown. Here is the proof, a sort history entitled: "What Did BBVD Do?"

Enjoy and Happy 150th Birthday Ventura!!!
